My Baystate Story: Tara Robinson, RN Baystate Home Health and Hospice

My name is Tara Robinson, and I am a Registered Nurse with Baystate Home Health and Hospice. The day I graduated and became a nurse is one of the proudest moments of my life. I have always had a passion for helping people and becoming a nurse allows me to help my patients every day.
For many of my patients, receiving the care that I provide in the comfort of their own home is extremely important to them and I work hard to ensure that the care they receive is equal to what they would receive in a hospital setting.
Being in their home provides me the opportunity to connect with them in a more personal way and develop a more holistic approach to their care. I get to meet their children, husbands, wives, sisters, brothers, pets and hear stories of their lives and experiences. Because of this, I am able to develop a comprehensive picture of each patient that leads to better care and has also led to a greater sense of trust.
This is the greatest reward for what I do and Baystate affords me this opportunity to positively impact my patients' lives every day.
